Doomster Reich are a band from Poland that plays a psychedelic form of doom metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "The League For Mental Distillation" which was released by the End Of Time Records.
Melodic guitar leads start off the album along with some heavy doom metal riffing and clean singing vocals being added onto the recording a few seconds later and you can hear elements of traditional metal in the bands musical style along with the solos also adding in psychedelic touches while also mixing retro and modern styles together.
Clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording while all of the musical instruments also sound very powerful and a great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of both slow and mid paced parts while also having their fast moments and their is also a brief use of atmospheric synths along with the vocals also utilizing more aggression and there is also a brief use of spoken word parts and psychedelic effects.
Doomster Reich plays a musical style that takes the traditional styles of doom and heavy metal and mixes them in with psychedelic touches to create something very original, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and realistic themes.
In my opinion Doomster Reich are a very great sounding psychedelic doom/heavy metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "John Woe" and "In Storms". 8 out of 10.
