Infrared are a band from Ontario, Canada that plays an old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2016 album "No Peace".
War sounds start off the album before going into a heavier musical direction along with all of t he musical instruments having a very powerful sound to t hem and the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's style on thrash meta l while the riffs also get very melodic at times and the solos and elads are also done in a very melodic fashion.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the vocals are also done in a very melodic yet aggressive manner and back up gang shouts can also be heard at times and all of t he songs sound like they could of easily been recorded and released during the mid 80's and a couple of the tracks also brings in a brief use of clean playing and classical guitars before making a return back to a heavier musical direction.
Infrared plays a style of thrash metal that is very aggressive and melodic in the old school 80's tradition, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover death and destruction themes.
In my opinion Infrared are a very great sounding old school thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Inframental" "My Good Will" "Some Kind of Disease" and "Thoughts Caught (In Between)". 8 out of 10.
