Hells are a band from Pennsylvania that plays a crossover mixture of thrash metal and hardcore and this is a review of their 2016 ep "Paradise" which was released by Seeing Red Records.
A very heavy sound along with some aggressive screams start off the ep along with the riffs also use a great amount of melody and the music also brings in a great amount of hardcore elements and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and a lot of the tracks are very short in length.
Elements of thrash can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording while the music also mixes both old school and modern hardcore together while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while t he solos and leads when t hey are utilized add in a touch of post hardcore and the whole ep also remains very heavy from beginning to ending of the recording.
Hells plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in hardcore while also mixing in elements of thrash while also taking it into more of a modern direction, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover angry and real life themes.
In my opinion Hells are a very great sounding metallic hardcore band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Weather Report" and "Night Creeps". 8 out of 10.
