Crossplane are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of metal, punk and street rock and this is a review of their self released 2015 album "Masturboned".
A very hard and heavy Motorhead influenced sound starts off the album along with some vocals that are very rough and aggressive but have some out of key melodies and the solos and leads bring a raw early 80's metal/punk sound to t he music while the production gives the songs more of a modern day feeling.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of metal, punk and classic rock influences and at times the music also brings in a touch of southern rock and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a brief use of clean playing.
Crossplane plays a style that is mostly Motorhead worship but done with more of a modern touch and with more rock elements, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover your standard rock'n'roll themes.
In my opinion Crossplane are a very great sounding mixture of metal, punk and street rock and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Brave new World" "Down" "Maneater" and "Get the Rhythm". 8 out of 10.
