Circle Of Witches are a band from Italy that plays stoner metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Rock The Evil" which was released by Metal Tank Records.
The album starts out with a very old school sounding metal sound along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound which also leads up to melodic vocals and classic rock style sounds and after awhile solos become a part of the music.
When the album goes into other songs the music starts having a Motorhead meets blues rock type of sound and after awhile more modern stoner elements are brought into the music and at time s the music also brings in traces of early thrash and speed metal while also having a good amount of a retro old school metal feeling throughout the recording.
Circle Of Witches bring in a great amount of variety to the music with the way they combine traditional and speed metal with stoner and 70's rock to create a very diverse, original and retro sounding recording.
Song lyrics cover witchcraft, occultism and everyday themes, while th e production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Circle Of Witches are a very great sounding stoner metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rock The Evil" "The Punishing" "The Crimson Witch" and "Snakes old Man". 8 out of 10.
