Ignis Fatuu are a band from Germany which has had their previous recordng reviewed in this zine that plays a mixture of folk metal and mittelalter rock and this is a review of their 2014 album "Unendlich Viele Wege" which was released by TrollZorn Records.
The album starts out with a medieval folk sound before adding in heavier parts and shouting vocals along with melodic male and female vocals and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
When we got more into the album the music starts sounding more modern while the folk parts and old school metal influences remain a huge part of the recording and there are also some spoken word parts being utilized at times as well as a good amount of melody and at time s they also bring in ballads but they still have a lot more heavy songs than soft ones.
With this album Ignis Fatuu continue the sound they have had on their previous releases and this is another great sounding melodic folk rock/metal album that will make their fans happy and they also bring in a great amount of catchy parts.
Song lyrics are written in German and cover folklore themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Ignis Fatuu and if you are a fan of this band, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Hyazinthen" "Blutgeleckt" "Alchemie" and "Die Pforte". 8 out of 10.
