Putrid Blood are a band from Serbia that plays a very heavy and aggressive form of old school thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2009 demo "Fire At Will".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with not much in the way of blast beats, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast old school style thrash metal riffs that are very heavy and aggressive sounding with some melody being utilized at times, while the lead guitars are very old school sounding thrash metal guitar solos and leads that utilize some technical and melodic elements.
Vocals are all aggressive sounding thrash metal vocals that dont utilize much in the way of melody as well as a brief use of screams and growls, while the lyrics cover war, politics, occultism and horror with one song being written in Serbian, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound for being a self released recording.
In my opinion Putrid Blood are a very great sounding heavy and aggressive old school style thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Arrival" "Fire At Will" "Serving The Untouchables" and "The End". RECOMMENDED BUY.
