All Hail The Yeti are a band from Los Angeles, California that plays of sludge, hardcore and groove metal and this is a review of their self released 2012 album which was released by AFM Records.
Drums range from slow to mid paced playing with no fast drumming and blast beats, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy riffing that dominates throughout the recording, as for the harmonicas which are only utilized briefly they bring a blues music feeling to the music as well as a brief use of an organ being utilized on one song..
Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced riffs t hat combine sludge, hardcore and groove metal together to create a sound of their own along with a brief use of soft and clean playing, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very bluesy sounding guitar leads.
Vocals range from sludge style screams, hardcore style shouts and clean signing stoner rock vocals as well as a brief use of samples from films, while the lyrics cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it where you can hear all of t he musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion All Hail The Yeti are a very great sounding hybrid of sludge, hardcore and groove metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Deep Creek" "Suicide Woods" "I Am Wendigod" and "Judas Cradle". RECOMMENDED BUY.
