Wolf System are a band from Batan Rouge, Louisiana that has been featured before in this zine and plays a mixture of metal, punk and blues and this is a review of their 2015 ep "No Sleep These Nights" which was released by Building Sound.
A very hard and heavy yet dark sound starts off the ep and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them along with the riffs utilizing a great amount of melody and when vocals are added into the music they are all clean singing and alos give the songs more of a blues rock feeling.
When solos and leads are utilized they are very melodic and the songs also mix the raw energy of punk rock with the heaviness of metal and on some of the tracks you can also hear a small amount of tracks that evoke a very Southern orientated atmosphere when they are utilized as well as a small amount of female vocals and the songs also have a touch of stoner and doom metal at times.
Wolf System creates another recording that takes metal, punk and blues rock and mix them together as well as adding in elements that could easily when over stoner rock and doom metal fans, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and real life themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Wolf System and if you are a fan of metal, punk or blues rock, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Desperation Of Some" and "Delusions Of The Narcissist". 8 out of 10.
