Radiant Archery are a band from Singapore that plays an instrumental form of post metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Salvation" which was released by Epidemic Distro.
A very distorted sounding drone starts off the album before adding in drum beats and melodic post metal riffs which slowly start to get more dark and heavier sounding and after the intro the music gets more structured and you can also heat a touch of sludge in the slow and heavy riffing at times.
Spoken word parts can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the songs also bring in a small amount of clean playing and you can also hear elements of shoegaze in the music at times and when guitar leads are utilized they take the music into more of a melodic direction and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the whole album also sticks to a slow musical direction.
Radiant Archery plays a style of post metal that is all instrumental but also manages to capture the perfect balance between heaviness and melody and the production on all of the songs also sounds very professional..
In my opinion Radiant Archery are a very great sounding instrumental post metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Salvation" "Mithra" and "Juggernaut". 8 out of 10.
